Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner Review

Hello Guys!

I have a beauty review to share with you today! I bought the Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in Blackest Black. I got mine from Walgreens for $6.29. They are running a 40% off all Maybelline cosmetics special this week which is an awesome way to go pick up some new products to try. Head over to your local Walgreens and check out the Maybelline products!

Now, onto the review. First off I had extremely high hopes for this product because I was looking for a smudge proof/waterproof gel eyeliner and that's what this eyeliner claimed to do. I'll start with the pros. I love that it came with a brush that had a cover, that it glides on very smoothly, and it is very black. However, the first time I tried it I didn't use a primer to see how it would last and that was a total disaster! Within an hour my eyeliner was completely gone and I didn't rub my eyes or anything. The second time I tried it was a better experience. I used my Rimmel London primer and applied the eyeliner on top. It felt like it glided on better and looked pretty good. After 30 minutes though, it did start kind of cracking in the center of my eyelid but I touched it up a in that area and it lasted with no smudging or cracking for about 5-6 hours. It doesn't transfer unless you touch it which I found odd. Overall I think that this a decent everyday eyeliner and out of 10 I would give it a 6. It's obviously not the best but it will do for now until I am able to find a better one.

Hope you found this review helpful. Please comment below what your favorite waterproof eyeliner is!

XOXO

Colorful Summer Floral Design

Hey Guys!
This design was inspired from a pin that a friend of mine found on Pinterest for me. I think that is a very pretty summer design with the colorful flowers.

These are the base colors that I used. For the thumb and ring fingers I used Sally Hansen White On.  For the pointer finger I applied China Glaze's most known polish in For Audrey. Next for the middle finger I have on Pure Ice's Studette. Lastly on the pinky finger I have on Rimmel London's 420 Sweet Lavender.

For the colorful flowers that are on my thumb and ring finger, I used Milani's Black Nail Art Polish for the center of the flowers. I took my smallest dotting tool which is on the pink tool and made three little dots. For the pink flowers I used Revlon Colorstay's Polish in Passionate Pink. The last two are the same base colors I used for the pointer and pinky fingers, For Audrey by China Glaze and 420 Sweet Lavender by Rimmel London. For all of the flowers I used the larger side of the yellow tool and made a simple five dotted flower making sure that all the dots with touching, for the more cartoon looking flower. I also used the same color of whatever flower I was creating and put a dot in the center. Dotting tools are your best friend when it comes to nail art. I found mine for very inexpensive on Amazon. I think they were only $2.50 including  shipping.

~Hope you try this design out!~
