Abstract Polka Dots Design

Hi guys!

I'm back with another nail post! This one was inspired by the phenomenal MissJenFabulous on YouTube! I am sure you already know who she is if you enjoy doing nails, but if you haven't go give her some love and support. :)

How do you guys think that I did in comparison with Jenny's?

What did I use?
  • CND Stickey Base Coat (BEST BASE COAT EVER)
  • Sally Hansen White On (White)
  • Rimmel London 820 Hot Black To Go (Black)
  • Sephora by OPI What Aura Gonna Wear (Pink)
  • Milani Nail Art Yellow Design (Orange/Yellow)
  • Sally Hansen Diamond Shine Top Coat

Now onto the fun part of how I did this design!

First you want to start off by painting all your nails except your ring finger with two coats of black. On the ring finger you need to paint two layers of pink.

After that has dried, take your pink polish and go 1/2 way up all of the black nails and try to make the top even but it doesn't have to be perfect. On your ring finger do the exact same process but with the black instead.

Third thing you want to do is take a large sized dotting tool and dot three dots along the top of your pink polish that you just applied. You guessed it, use the same technique on your ring finger but with white dots.

Next, put three white dots above the black ones and on the ring finger but three black ones!

Time for more dotting! You want to take your black polish and put a row of dots with a medium dotting tool below the three dots that you just finished.  And white on top of the black three dots for the ring finger.

Even more dots! Take your white polish with a small dotting tool and put a line of curved dots above the black and white set. Also use that white and dot it inside of the black dots that you put below the three large dots. Opposite for the ring finger.

Second to last step! Take an orange/yellow polish and put it right smack on top of all your white dots. You put the white below the orange/yellow color because the white helps the color pop on a dark base.

Final step! Put your favorite top coat on to seal in your awesome design!

This design definitely takes time to do but I think that it is well worth it because it looks really interesting and pretty!

~Hope that you were able to follow my directions and recreate this nail design!~

♥ Have a great day! ♥

Watercolor Design

How is it going guys?
Items Used
  • CND Stickey Base Coat
  • Small Dotting Tool
  • Sally Hansen Insta Dry Night Flight (Black)
  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On (White)
  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Mint Sorbet (Mint)
  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Pinch of Punch (Purple/Pink)
  • Zoya Pippa (Yellow)
  • Butter London Primrose Hill Picnic (Hot Magenta)
  • Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Top Coat
I think that is an absolutely stunning design for the summer time! It is so fun and colorful next to the sophisticated black polka dots. I got this idea from a YouTuber and her channel is called YoungWildAndPolished. Go check her out, she does incredible nail art!

This is a really simple design to create but it looks like you spent hours trying to master it. All you do for the abstract part is take your small dotting tool and make little blobs of each color, the messier the more interesting it looks! For the polka dots, I would recommend that you use a larger dotting tool instead of the small one because the larger one make the dots more professional. But, if you like you can definitely still use the small dotting tool, it is totally up to you. Super simple and cute!

~Hope you like it and try it out!~
